Character Design - Week 1

These were my first two designs I did for Character design class. I actually included Cory's (teacher) notes on it, to kinda show what I'm learning during the course. We had to base our designs off of existing styles, so I picked Robert Valley and Chris Sanders. For the second design, I really shouldn't have done it as a male... Struggled with that, and didn't have the time to work it out.... Bit the design tips were really helpful. More soon.

Quick painting exercise this morning before drawing. Tried a little more graphic element for the leaves. Kinda meh, but just a quick little practice, so I'm not so worried about quality.

Weekly Walks #2 - Lovestruck Teenager

Second weekly walk. Had more fun with this one. Just went straight ahead - easy enough. Got the right and left leg mixed up when doing the rough though.

Weekly Walks #1 - Jolly Fat Man

First of many weekly walk cycles, this one of a jolly fat man. Needs more overlap.

Animation Assignment #13: Flag FX

Flag animation, basic, cycles. Had fun doing this, fx is really relaxing for me. Looking forward to the other fx projects.

As the name suggests, this week was on composition. Didn't really like the final result for this one, but you cant win them all.

First Assignment was to do a simple still life. Was pretty fun I think.

A secret santa I made for a classmate. Line work all done traditionally, coloured in PS. Pretty happy with how it turned out, I just had fun.

This is a quick little render I worked up in Blender before dinner, edited in Photoshop. Supposed to be the fairy from Legend of Zelda (dunno why, just came to mind and I was itching to do some 3D glass)
